When things are hazy, start with aiming small

As working IT professional, we come across the situation we are needed to establish some work which is not very clear from upper management or customer.

In such cases, It best to remember two principles while working on the problem solving:

Pareto principle: 20% of the causes when fixed will yield 80% of success. So try to find the central aspect of the problem which when fixed will give the major return.

Minimum viable product: Start building the prototype or perform the small proof of concept quickly than trying to implement big chunk of work.
